Abstract: Results from the Student Evaluation Survey from a previous offering of a core subject showed a result in the statement: “The learning activities in this subject enabled me to judge the quality of my own work” that could be improved and were lower than other measures for that subject. To offer students a means of judging their understanding of core concepts, I used H5P to build no-stakes, optional short assessment quizzes and embedded one at the end of each learning module within Interact. Early student feedback has been positive and indicates that the quizzes are achieving their goal. Students are reporting that they are using the quizzes to judge their own understanding of the module content, and as a revision tool when reviewing their learning. My talk will demonstrate the quizzes and highlight student feedback indicating the positive result of this initiative.
