Abstract: The presentation focuses on a Regenerative Agriculture short course developed in partnership with North Coast Landcare Network. Regenerative agriculture is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. The course was planned, trialled, reviewed by peers, and then a final version provided to over 100 farmers and Landcare officers living on the North Coast of NSW. Feedback from the participants suggests they found the material ‘inspiration’ particularly at a time of stress for many, and they ‘now have a much better direction and grip on of plan, priorities and actions going forward’. It is an example of how the university might use its regional connections to build stronger networks while also realizing it key purpose of ‘for the public good’.
